  • Step 1: Enter the Watch Serial

    Users can:

    • Enter the watch serial number

    Supporting details such as brand, model, and reference can be added to improve accuracy via photo recognition

    Step 2: CRNO Runs Multi-Layer Checks

    Once submitted, CRNO automatically checks the serial number against multiple databases

    • Detects duplicated serial numbers across multiple records

    Step 3: Clear Status Result Returned

    CRNO presents a clear, simple status indicator:

    • ✅ No Match Found — No matching records have been identified at this time

    • ⚠️ Under Investigation — Status pending further review

    • ❗️ Match Found — A matching record has been identified

    Each result is supported by time-stamped records and source references within CRNO.

  • Linking a Watch to Your Profile

    • CRNO makes it simple for owners to securely link their watches to their personal profile through an intuitive in-app process:

      • Each linked watch becomes part of a permanent, time-stamped ownership record.

      • Secure Transfer of Ownership

      • CRNO replaces informal handovers with a secure, digital transfer process designed for private sales, gifts, and trade transactions:

      • The current owner selects Transfer Ownership within the app

      • A unique, time-limited CRNO QR code is generated

      • The new owner scans the QR code or enters their CRNO ID to accept the transfer

      • Both parties digitally confirm the handover

      • Once completed, ownership updates instantly within CRNO, creating a clear and auditable chain of custody.

    • CRNO turns watch ownership into a verified digital asset, secure to own, simple to transfer, and trusted across the industry.

    • “Report watch stolen” emergency red button from within CRNO app

    • Automatic notification to the nearest police force

    • CRNO creates/updates a digital case file and logs every serial check.

    • Request authentication
      Request an authentication through the CRNO app or an authorised CRNO partner. Provide your CRNO ID so the authenticator can request secure access to your watch collection and arrange either delivery of the watch to the authenticator or an in-person visit.

    • Professional inspection & evidence capture
      A qualified authenticator examines the watch and securely records supporting evidence, including condition notes and verification images. This information is linked to the watch’s CRNO profile, creating a clear audit trail.

    • Secure record & ownership linking
      The authenticated watch is securely linked to your CRNO account, with the findings of the authentication and all supporting documentation stored for future reference, such as insurance, resale, or recovery.

    • Data encryption, secure logins, Azure infrastructure, ISO-ready controls.

    • SBD accreditation and collaboration with Police CPI.

HOW WATCH OWNERSHIP TRANSFERS ARE HANDLED ON CRNO?

CRNO provides a safe and secure digital transfer of ownership system, designed to protect both buyer and seller while preserving a watch’s full provenance history. Secure. Traceable. Verified.

    • Open the CRNO app and select the watch you wish to transfer from your registered collection.

    • Tap “Transfer Ownership” to begin the secure handover process.

    • You can transfer ownership in two ways:

      • CRNO member:
        Use the in-app QR scanner to scan the recipient’s unique CRNO QR code, generated within their app.

      • Non-CRNO member:
        Manually enter the recipient’s details to initiate the transfer.
        (They will be invited to complete registration to finalise ownership.)

  • To complete the transfer, verify the transaction by entering your CRNO passcode.

    This final step ensures:

    • Seller authorisation

    • Fraud prevention

    • A permanent, auditable ownership record

    • Prevents stolen watches being resold

    • Creates a permanent digital ownership trail

    • Builds confidence for buyers, sellers, insurers, and retailers

    • Protects the value, history, and legitimacy of every watch
